BIOLOGY
Food
Fosaceae. Larvae feed on upper surface of leaves producing distinctive skeletonizing.
Distribution
Native to Europe & westerna Asia, adventive on all other continents. Widspread in North America, mostly in the northern United States and southern Canada.
Flight Period
Starts about mid-May.
Development
Parthenogenetic (males unknown in North America, rare in Europe), usually bivoltine in North America.
