RECOGNITION
Body Length
Male: 5-11 mm. Female: 7-15 mm.

BIOLOGY
Larvae: Live in nests of Megachilidae, mostly, and are parasitic, and some other bees and wasps serve as hosts. The beetle's larvae feed on the hosts larvae and pollen stores. Adults: Feed on yarrow, milkweed, and other plants of yellow coloration.
Range
Western United States, north to western Canada and Alaska.
